Today in 1993, The X-Files first premiered. What's your favorite episode? Have you ever experienced paranormal activity yourself?

No to the paranormal activity, but this question did get me thinking.

I used to love the X-Files so much. It was my first TV obsession and first experience of shipperdom and internet fandom.

And Gillian Anderson has a lot to answer for in terms of my sexual orientation... lol.

Favourite episode? I love the over-arching mythos of the show, so I think perhaps Anasazi, Paperclip? But you can't beat monster of the week ones like Squeeze, Tooms, Irresistible etc.

I recently bought the whole lot on DVD and watched 'Jose Chung's From Outer Space' and 'Bad Blood' - I did laugh my ass off rather a lot. The X-Files did good 'fun' type storylines.

The movie wasn't half terrible though. It was laughably bad. I feel bad for Dave and Gilly because their performances weren't terrible, rather the script was dull (an over-long and not very interesting episode essentially).

Always fun to see Callum Keith Rennie though.

It pretty much looks as though Mary McDonnell isn't going to appear in the Battlestar tele-film which started filming this week. :-(

Whilst it was made made clear from the outset that the project was going to be cylon-centric, I can't help but feel disappointed that they couldn't find a way of including Laura in the storyline. In addition, there will be no Starbuck, Apollo, and presumably no Baltar.

Entertainment Weekly seems to suggest that the cast list is final:

Shame about Laura, particularly as EJO will be appearing. And aside from that, it did sound as though Mary McDonnell was amenable to the idea of being involved with future film projects:

I'm generally of the opinion that the episodes with less MM / EJO content tend to be somewhat poorer... but then I suppose I'm rather biased!

Razor was enjoyable - despite Laura being largely absent. Although the concept was wonderful, and in line with the webisodes, gave fans an insight into never before seen arcs of the story, I wonder whether a similar idea was really appropriate for one last outing?

I'm sure the tele-film will be good. But there will definitely be a part of me that would have preferred to have seen the characters I've invested in for 4 seasons viewed from a new and interesting perspective as opposed to ones I see as being incidental or ancilliary.

So, Roslin and Adama's stories will play out in the final half of season four, never to be revisited (I assume). Let's hope it's a compelling end, then.

My first A/R vid - hopefully the first of many because it was a lot of fun to make...

It looks best when viewed in high quality at the link below:

The music is 'The Captain' by Kasey Chambers. I've actually re-uploaded it to Youtube in an effort to improve on the quality, and have messed around with the settings. Consequently, it does look a bit better than it did. However, it still looks rubbish in standard quality. >:-(

If someone would be kind enough to enlighten me as to how I can improve this I would be very grateful!! And please feel free to rate / comment ! ;-)

Anyway, Roslin and Adama are adorable, so this is my tribute. It's upbeat and fluffy - mostly because I was feeling very sad about all the rumours of Laura's imminent demise, and also because I haven't yet got my hands on season 4 - pretty essential for any angsty A/R fanvid! :-)
